Day of Reckoning: Columbine and the Search for America's Soul
Published in Hardcover by Brazos Press (February, 2001)
Author: Wendy Murray Zoba
Average review score:

An All-Right Book
I think that the book is all right, since it does give some intresting info about people like Rachel, Cassie, Eric and Dylan and I do like that the author has shown at least some sympathy towards the Harris and Klebold families.

But I do think that the author should have had more info on Eric and Dylan. I'm also personally very skepticial on the notions that Cassie was the one who said "yes" and that Rachel Scott was the Rachel that was named on the "basement tapes".

It is a ok book about Columbine
This is a ok book about columbine. I am olny giving it 3 stars because it was to religious for me. I would read the parts on the details of what happened at columbine and skip all the religious stuff. It does tell you interesting facts about eric and Dylan.
It also tells what it was like for the author to visit the area, see the Graves and the school. It talks about Rachels Life and Cassies and tells there storys .

Good but a question at begining
the book was good. very nice details about the day of the shootings. but what struck me as odd is that in the first sentence of chapter 1 ( you can see the page on this site) she says 15 died, yet on the back cover shes says that 13 died. any help with this one?

Conversations With God the Father: Encounters With the One True God
Published in Hardcover by Starburst Publishers (July, 1998)
Author: Mark R. Littleton
Average review score:

Ripoff of a ripoff
If you are not familiar with the series of which this is a hollow imitation, Neale Donald Walsch's "Conversations with God" trilogy, I urge you to check these out first, and then laugh at this ridiculous attempt to morph mainstream Christianity into something other than what it is: intimidation and pettiness. While Walsch's books are not flawless themselves (in fact, they are painfully derivative of New-Age mantras), this book stoops below even these. It is almost not even worth the time and effort to scoff at, if this tells you anything.

Excellant book!
This is a wonderful book. It allows your imagination to float with the coversation the author holds with God. He doesn't humanize God but rather personalizes Him with the questions he asks. The voice language used for God is modern and relatable. This is easy reading and you come away feeling that God does love His children and why. It is also biblically based without the new age garbage that is in many books today.

I recommend this book highly and plan on giving them as Christmas presents to close friends.

I liked this book
Refreshing view of a loving caring God. He is not mad at us, in spite of what we do. He gave us the greatest gift. This book states just that. I didnt read the other CWG, so I cannot make any comments about it. Littletons book was very refreshing to me during a hectic time.

Truth About Rock
Published in Paperback by Bethany House (July, 1998)
Authors: Steve Peters and Mark R. Littleton
Average review score:

This guy does not know what he is talking about
I thought that this would be a great book. I was wrong... i went to see what he said about my favorite groups, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Gin Blossoms. He practically destroyed their images. Only someone who just hears the lyrics of groups he has never heard to would write the things he did...And by the way, why is there no review about IRON MAIDEN??? At least they escaped your words...

Good insight into the music world
This book is a very good resource for parents of children who are immersed in the secular rock culture, and for people who have friends that are. There is a good background on many of the dangers and mindset of those in the secular rock culture, as well as a list of Christian alternatives. There is also a fairly comprehensive list of individual artists with explanations of their worldviews based on their lyrics. Some Christian artists are included, but their descriptions, though good, are not very specific and become repetitive.

If you and your family are into Christian music and are safe from the dangers listed therein, this book may be an interesting read, but not necessary reading. You may feel the need to, in the authors words, "purify your hearts" against what you have read. The book does not contain four letter words spelled out, but the descriptions are adequate enough.

IT IS AN AWESOME BOOK IT HAS HELPED ME ALOT!
YOUR BOOK IS SO AWESOME! I LOVE IT! IT HAS HELPED ME SEE AND REALIZE THAT WHAT I WAS LISTENING TO WAS EFFECTING MY CHRISTIAN WALK. I WISH I COULD JUST FORCE SOME OF MY CHRISTIAN FRIENDS TO READ IT (THE ONES THAT ARE LISTENING TO LIKE KORN AND METALLICA) I JUST WANT TO SAY I LOVE YOUR BOOK! I GOT IT AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND I THINK IT IS ONE OF THE BEST PRESENTS ANYONE COULD GET. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING SUCH A HEART AND DEVOTION TO GOD THAT YOU COULD WRITE THIS BOOK IT HAS REALLY HELPED ME GOD BLESS!

Al Fresco in Athens: A Recipe Guide to Georgia Bulldog Tailgating
Published in Paperback by Owl Bay Publishers (August, 1994)
Authors: Lucyw. Littleton, Dorothy Wells, and Lucy Littleton
Average review score:

Have they ever BEEN to Athens???
Although the recipes may be good (I haven't tried them yet), the "flavor" of UGA football is totally missing - my copy seems to be a Georgia cover over an Ole Miss book - there is a nice description of the Ole Miss campus in the forward, and even a "Ole Miss Gingersnaps" recipe, but NOTHING about GEORGIA !?!

A big disappointment for a UGA alumni. :-(

Perfect for Saturdays in the Fall
This is a nice book with some good recipes for tailgating. The best hamburger I ever tasted came from this book! Remember, watching the game is only half the fun.

The Book of the Bible: All Your Questions Answered
Published in Paperback by Halo Pr (December, 1995)
Authors: Mark Littleton and Giona Fiocchi
Average review score:

Book Review for The Book of the Bible..
The Book of the Bible All Your Questions Answered is a nice little reference book. It has many quotes and many answers that would suit a beginner in the search for the Eternal Truth. The book is laid out so the reader can look for quick answers to questions. The chapters have sub-sections that start out with a question and then presents the answer right below it. Many of the answers to the questions contradict the Roman Catholic Church' teachings, but it is a nice, simple book for Christians.

Ella Dijo Que Si/She Said Yes: El Inverosmil Martirio De Cassie Bernall/the Unlikely Martyrdom of Cassie Bernall
Published in Paperback by Plough Publishing House (July, 2001)
Authors: Misty Bernall and Jaime Duenas
Average review score:

She Said Yes
"She Said Yes" is a good book. It is about an unusual experience with a normal person who thinks nothing can happen to her daughter. Then the unthinkable to her happens. This is an inspirational book and it tells you to do what you feel is right. If you do this you should have no regrets. This book was a very interesting experience because the author is a normal person.

Summer Olympics (Littleton, Mark R., Sports Heroes.)
Published in Paperback by Zondervan (May, 1996)
Author: Mark Littleton
Average review score:

The Rest of the Story
Mark Littleton has written several books in the Zondervan Sports Heroes series. Each book follows a similar format: brief, standard biographies of the sports career of 6 or 7 athletes with an added touch ala Commentator Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story."

The added touch is how each individual athlete found that his/her faith in God made him/her a more complete human being, if not a more perfect competitor.

Sadly, many of the books are out of print, but may be available in libraries or through special services of Amazon or other booksellers.

I recommend these books for both parents and their preteens and teens to read. The torn social framework created by over-competitive parents living vicariously through their athlete-children cries out for repair with a strong dose of the faith found by each of Mr. Littleton's subjects.

The moral is "You can be a pretty good athlete or even a star WITHOUT being a jerk!"

Like all things coming from FSU, this book stinks
Unless you are looking to cook some roadkill (opposum, squirrel, etc.), steer clear of this one.
